The park features an extensive coastline with sandy beaches, rugged cliffs, secluded bays, estuaries, and coastal lagoons. Its geography includes diverse habitats such as eucalypt forests, wetlands, and heathlands that support a wide range of native flora and fauna, including several threatened species like the long-nosed potoroo and the eastern bristlebird. The park sits within the traditional lands of the Yuin people, adding significant cultural heritage to the area.
